The Carnival of the Animals / De Karneval Vun Den Déieren
A whimsical music-theater performance featuring 37 origami figures, two actors, and an orchestra – based on the famous music of Camille Saint-Saëns as well as several new compositions by Ivan Boumans and others.
The piece combines live music, Dada poetry by Ernst Jandl, video projections, live camera, and a generous dose of nonsense to create a truly unique experience.
Moustik and Sputt are preparing the grand parade of the Carnival of the Animals. Along the way, they encounter a variety of creatures and become completely lost in the imaginative world of their play. Once all the animals are gathered, the parade begins – and the celebration is in full swing!
